This is a Big Lottery funded post.

24 hrs per week (worked over 3 to 4 days may include some evenings and weekends).

A three year funded project working with partner organisations to engage with older Barton residents who need support to attend appointments at their local NHS Health Centre. The post-holder will provide one-to-one contact and promote engagement of local residents in the Appointment Buddy Programme by accompanying and supporting them at their NHS Health Centre appointments The Programme Co-Ordinator will also be responsible for recruitment, management and leadership of Volunteers and the monitoring and evaluation of this project.

The ideal candidate should be experienced in engaging adults presenting with a range of complex social, physical and mental health needs, and of recruiting, working with and supporting volunteers.
